Privacy policy
Effective October 30, 2026. SmallCrew HQ is a static website. We collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Browsing this site does not require an account, and we do not set tracking cookies ourselves. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to serve and protect the site. We also keep a record of clicks on links to software vendors, described under Affiliate links, and anonymous daily counts of how our free tools are used, described under Free tools.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is passed to Kit, the service we use to send it, and used only for the newsletter. Signing up uses a confirmation email (double opt-in): nothing is sent until you click the link in that email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Subscriber email addresses are stored by Kit under Kit's privacy policy; we do not store them ourselves, and we do not sell or share subscriber lists.
Contacting us
This site currently offers contact by email rather than through a contact form.
When you email hello@smallcrewhq.com, we receive your email address, your message, and any information you choose to include through our email provider. We use this information to review and respond to your inquiry.
Email correspondence may remain stored in our email account after we respond.
Affiliate links
Some links to software vendors are affiliate links. When you click one, the vendor or its affiliate network may set a cookie in your browser to attribute a signup to us. That cookie is controlled by the vendor and governed by their privacy policy. See our affiliate disclosure.
Links to software vendors pass through our own site first (addresses starting with /go/), and we log each click so we know which guides and which parts of a page readers find useful. Each record holds the time, the vendor and destination, the page and the spot on the page the link was in, the country and the kind of device (phone or computer) as reported by our hosting provider, the name of the network operator, and signals that help us tell people from automated traffic, such as whether the click came from the page it names. It does not include your IP address, your full browser details, a cookie, or anything else that identifies you.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to see which pages are read. This does not identify individual visitors.
Free tools
Calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. Numbers you enter, and the results you see, are not sent to us or stored on any server.
To learn which tools help, we count how often each tool is seen, used, gives a result, has a result copied or printed, and leads to another page on this site, as daily totals. Each count records only the tool, the page, the kind of action and, for a link, the page it leads to. It records nothing you type, no result, no IP address, no cookie or other identifier, and nothing about your browser or device. No count is sent when your browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change.
